IBINABO COUNTS HER BLESSINGS AS AGN PRESIDENT...names them one-by-one


The incumbent President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, Fiberisima Ibinabo has brought to public glare her achievements as the Guild`s presiding officer over the last one and a half year of her tenure.  The movie diva in view of this months AGN election is said to have the backing of almost all that matters in the industry and beyond to amke a return as the AGN President for the second time. She is believed to be more favoured than her challengers. Its assumed by watchers and lovers of Nollywood that the about to be wedded former beauty queen had done more than her predecessors so she deserves another change to continue from where she stopped. The River State born entertainment icon was quoted as saying, “Much as the challenges were enormous, however, they did stop me from moving the Guild forward within the last quarter of the year in addition to our overall performance in 2013 are but limited to the following:

Why I filed for a divorce- Ini Edo

A popular Nollywood actress, Ini Edo, took to Twitter on Thursday to explain why she filed for divorce from her husband.
There had been reports in the media that the actress and her husband were divorcing because of infidelity on her part.
Ms. Edo denied the reports, stating that she never cheated and that she filed for a divorce due to issues that could not be resolved.
“There is a conscious and malicious attempt at tarnishing my image,” she said.
Ms. Edo and Philip Ehiagwina, who lives in the United States, got married in November, 2008 and called it quits five weeks ago.
The actress has deleted her estranged husband’s name from all her social media accounts except her Twitter handle, which remains @ini4phil; Phil for her husband.
The former couple did not have children together.

Fred Amata supports my upcoming marriage - Ibinabo Fiberisima

Ibinabo Fiberesima says the father to her last child and ex-boyfriend Fred Amata is in full support of her upcoming nuptials to her Igbo mystery fiance who she plans to marry this December...
"Fred is aware of my marriage plans. He is not an enemy. Fred is my baby's father. Yes he knows about my marriage. He supports my marriage" she told encomium magazine. 
She refused to say if he will be attending the wedding...

Ini Edo's marriage packs up, removes husband's name from instagram

After five years together, actress Ini Edo's marriage to her US based husband Philip Ehiagwina has crashed. The couple who lived separately for most of their marriage decided to formally split in early August. There are reports that Ini's people have even returned the bride price Philip paid in 2008.

Ini has since removed her husband's name from her social media accounts and she also removed wife from her bio on instagram. Her bio used to read - actress and wife...but wife is no longer there. A source that I spoke with said they have been having problems for quite a while because of trust issues before they decided to finally end their marriage. They have no children together.

His Imperial Majesty Kabiyesi Alaiyeluwa Oba Okunade Sijuwade Olubuse II The Ooni of Ife yesterday accepted to become the Grand Patron of the African NAFCA.

The African NAFCA USA sent a formal letter through Kabiyesi Royal Majesty Oba Kole Ojutalayo who attended the 4th African NAFCA at the Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills on behalf of His Imperial Majesty the Ooni of Ife who was honoured with the first ever Special NAFCA Legend Award. The 18 Karat gold plated NAFCA trophy was delivered to the Oduduwa Palace, Ile-Ife, Osun State, Nigeria yesterday and Dr. Victor O. Olatoye the President and CEO of the African NAFCA said our father is happy and has given us his blessing.

4th AFRIFF: 250 MOVIE BUFFS REGISTER IN FIRST WEEK

There are indications that the record of attendees for this year’s Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF) will surpass that of previous editions, with 250 applications already received within the first week of registration.
Feelers from the festival secretariat has it that the ongoing registration exercise has recorded an impressive number of requests from filmmakers in Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, Cameroon, South Africa, Senegal, Mali, Malawi, Uganda and several other African countries.

Reports say the pack received so far also includes requests from Africans in the Diaspora as well as individual filmmakers and film companies in Europe, United Kingdom, United States and Canada.
For the festival which is in its fourth year, the success story is unprecedented, even as organisers say the best is yet to come.
