However, on how he became blind, Chude stated: "It started like a migraine. The first day I felt sign of blindness was on a movie set in Enugu state. Just like a flash of lightening, I lost my sight for few seconds with this migraine I cannot explain. I did not understand what happened but I was fine, so I continued. It kept happening once in a while. Then it got severe, so I went for sever tests and searched for medical help.

"The tests had different results, they told me to seek spiritual help because it was mysterious, and I did that. I went to many churches but my case grew worse. Sometimes I wake up and won't see for hours, my vision will be blurred, later it will partially clear. It was like hell. I knew I had to quit and hide, because cannot afford to let my Mum see me in that condition.

I lived in that pains till I had an unforgettable encounter with 'The God of Dr Fireman". Just within few seconds and one word, "Jesus", I saw clearly than I have ever seen in my life."
